State-licensed medical marijuana is Schedule III. Dispensers, manufacturers and distributors need DEA registration. Businesses that applied between Apr 28 and Jun 26, 2026 are timely applicants and may keep operating under their state license while DEA reviews them.
Why it matters
State licensure alone isn't federal registration. As of Oct 30, 2026 DEA hadn't issued any Oklahoma registrations, so Oklahoma businesses are running as timely applicants.
